Hello All. This is our outpost on the web to try and keep our far flung family and friends posted on our family happenings.
After the trail, and Ryan and Taylor trying their hand at mushing, we had a chance to visit the kennel and see the puppies. Here, a baby husky is just about to steal Taylor's hat!
We stopped at a cabin for hot chocolate and cookies and for the dogs to have a rest. Here, Ryan and Taylor relax in the sleigh.
Tempurature today : 1C (34F). A perfect day for dog sledding! Our adventure today with Expedition Wolf took us through forests with steep climbs and exciting downhills. After assisting with harnessing the huskies and an attempt at getting to know their names, we received basic instructions on how to drive the team and off we went! David was a natural with taking control of our sleigh and commanding the huskies. This is our team in the foreground. In the background, Ryan and Taylor rode with a guide.
Taylor's ski instructor for the past two days was Philip Wayland who lived and worked in Cayman for a few years in the last 90's. What a small world! Taylor had a great day and was a model student, according to Phil.
Taylor on day 4 of ski school and looking great. She really enjoyed the lessons and showed great improvement.
Ryan and Tina (David taking the photo) heading back up the mountain on the gondola for another run. Le Sommet des Neiges in the background.
Ryan, David and Tina went to the summit 5 times, doing blue runs the whole way down 4 times. Ryan did a super job and improved on every run. This shot is as we near the base with the village in the background and Ryan snow boarding in the foreground.
